WeatherEze from Percival Scientific allows researchers to recreate real world weather conditions inside controlled environment chambers. Using live, historical, projected or custom weather data, WeatherEze can control temperature, humidity and lighting to reproduce specific locations, seasons and climate scenarios within a Percival chamber.
WeatherEze is Percival Scientific’s control system software for IntellusUltra. Researchers can recreate historical conditions, follow weather in real time, model future climate scenarios or upload their own data sets. This makes it possible to run controlled experiments against realistic environmental conditions rather than relying only on fixed temperature, humidity and lighting setpoints.

Historical Weather Simulations
Choose a location together with a start and end date and WeatherEze can recreate the average natural light, humidity and temperature recorded during that period.
This allows researchers to repeat a growth trial against conditions from a real season or location rather than using a single fixed environmental setpoint.
Real Time Weather Control
WeatherEze can use METAR weather data, the same type of weather data used by meteorologists, from locations around the world.
The system uses this information to control humidity, lighting and temperature inside the chamber. As the weather data changes, chamber conditions can update to follow the selected location in real time.
Model Future Climate Scenarios
WeatherEze supports 21 climate models and seven emission scenarios using public data from the World Bank Open Data Catalog.
This allows researchers to reproduce projected future conditions inside a controlled environment chamber. For example, a projected 2050 growing season for a particular region can be simulated as part of a research programme.
Use Your Own Weather Data
Weather data generated by the software can be edited, or researchers can upload their own environmental data sets.
This could include field logger records, site specific weather information or a custom environmental profile developed for a particular trial.
