How the Direct-Transfer Sample Containers Work

These containers are designed to allow a clean and efficient transfer of urine (or other liquid samples) directly into a vacuum tube for testing.
Inside the lid of each container is a recessed port containing a small internal needle.
To transfer the sample:
1.    The vacuum tube is pressed firmly into the recess in the lid.
2.    The internal needle punctures the rubber stopper of the tube.
3.    The vacuum inside the tube automatically draws the sample from the container into the tube.

This system provides a very clean, tidy and hygienic way to transfer samples without pouring or exposure to open containers.
