qPCR is the fastest and most precise method to identify and quantify pathogens. The YouSeq kit for Adenovirus contains all components necessary for easy, accurate detection on any qPCR platform. The target gene for Adenovirus (Penton base (Virion Component III)) has been demonstrated to have a distinctive sequence making it an ideal target for highly specific detection of the target. 

The primers will detect Human Adenovirus A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. It will also detect the the closely related Simian and Rhesus Adenoviruses.

• RNA Extraction kit – This qPCR test kit will work well with high quality RNA derived from any extraction kit with minimal PCR inhibitors present. 
• qPCR instrument with minimum 2 colour detection (FAM and VIC/HEX).
• Pipettes, micro centrifuge tubes and general laboratory equipment.
